The 2016 Torch Run is fast approaching and the time to order your shirts is now! There are two material options, cotton ($20) and moisture-wicking ($15) for the runners. The runner shirts will only be available during preorder, so if you're planning to run be sure your order is submitted by March 23, 2016. Contact Kara Newman for any questions regarding ordering. Her contact information is at the bottom. For other questions regarding the games or the torch run, contact Alexis Teal, Director of Development for LETR for Special Olympics Arkansas. The Torch Run legs will begin on May 23rd and work toward the capitol building on Wednesday evening. The leg from the capitol to Searcy for the Summer Game opening ceremony will begin Thursday morning, and the opening ceremonies will begin Thursday evening at 7:30 pm at Harding University. Theresa Book is the north east and north central field rep for Special Olympics Arkansas, so she can help you and your teams with signing up for the Torch Run. All departments are invited! We hope to see you there for this very worthy cause.
